family portrait sessions
Our style is a mix of candid moments and timeless portraiture. We love being able to capture the silly faces and all the little details, but also know what makes the best wall portrait or Christmas card.
We like to start off every session getting the traditional family picture. This is when everyone is getting comfortable and the kids tend to be a little shy. From there we move onto the grouping of all the boys, all the girls, all the kids, etc. We always get an individual portrait of everyone in the family, including mom and dad!
We love big families and furry family members are always welcome.
HOW it WORKs
We typically book our sessions a month in advance, and two months out during our busy fall season. A non-refundable session fee of $300 is required to hold your date. We always meet up for a pre-shoot consultation to discuss what your goals are for the session, details, and what to wear.

questions & answers
We understand that you might have a lot of questions before your session! We can talk through everything at your consultation, but below are some of our most common ones.
What if my child has a melt down?
We keep things fun and focused on your child. If they're not having a good time, then we're doing it wrong! If your child does have a melt down, then we just take a few minutes to take a break and move on the the next thing.
What should we wear?
We have a wardrobe style guide to help walk you through choosing the best outfits. Ultimately, you should wear something that coordinates with the style of your home.
How long is the session?
This depends on your family, the number of people, and what type of weather. we get! Typically a sessions lasts anywhere from 15 -45 minutes.
What if it rains?
We like to plan back-up rain dates just in case of poor weather. This helps to keep things low stress the day of your shoot.
How soon until I see my pictures?
Typically two - three weeks after your photo session.
Is there a fee for additional people?
No way! We love big families...bring Grandma, Grandpa, and puppy too!
